STOPS AND SPOTLIGHTS
2pm Workshop 1: Make the Console Work for You
This practical session offers tips and strategies to help organists feel more confident and prepared at a new console.
3pm Workshop 2: Play to the Crowd – Discovering the Music of the Theatre
In this session, participants are invited to bring transcriptions of opera, film or other popular music, or even piano scores, to explore their theatrical side at the console.
4pm Refreshments
4.30pm Organ Recital by Claudia Grinnell to include music by Verdi, Mason, Elgar and Bach.
Claudia Grinnell began learning the organ at St Peter’s Collegiate Church in Wolverhampton before reading Music at the University of Cambridge, where she was Organ Scholar at Peterhouse. After a year at Salisbury Cathedral, she spent seven years at Winchester Cathedral, with particular responsibility the Girls’ Choir. She was appointed Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in 2024, the first woman to hold the post.
