Scottish Singing Competition
About
Talented young singers from across the UK will be competing for the Meikle trophy as well as cash prizes and opportunities to sing for London audiences in the year ahead. Come and join us to support these young singers and enjoy the emerging talents in the field of Scottish Song. The event is hosted by the Burns Club of London in association with the Caledonian Club and The Robert Burns World Federation. The judging panel comprises Alan Beck (tenor, incl former member of trio Caledon, and RBWF past president), Calum Fraser, (choir master and music teacher), and Isla St Clair (well-known Scottish folk singer and TV presenter).Doors open at 1:00 pm with a reception in the Morrison room and then we will move upstairs to the Johnnie Walker room ready for the competition to commence at 2:00 pm. Dress code is smart casual, no jeans or trainers allowed.
