Hoarding awareness
About
HoardingUK is led by recognised activist and authority on hoarding behaviour, Megan Karnes. Established to provide a safe space for people with hoarding behaviour to seek support, it is the only hoarding specific charity in the UK. Their Healthy Homes programme, helpline and other services have worked to transform support within this field.
In this session, Megan provides an overview of the problem and how it can be tackled.
The cost of the session is £5.

Hoarding is a recognized mental health disorder affecting 2-5% of the population, leading to severe health and safety risks, social isolation, and functional impairment that can be as disabling as chronic pain or major depression. The disorder's effects are devastating for individuals and their families, creating unhealthy living conditions, increasing the risk of falls, fires, and pest infestations, and impacting relationships and daily functioning.
