Learning Profile of a Child with Down syndrome Warrington

This course takes a closer look at the learning needs of children with Down syndrome. We’ll explore some of the common challenges they may face, as well as their relative strengths. We will explore how those strengths can help support areas where they might need extra help.The session will include practical demonstrations, and you’ll learn about strategies and resources you can use right away. Topics will include ways to promote positive behaviour, enhance communication skills, support numeracy, and understanding additional task demands.
By the end of the course, you’ll have useful tools and ideas to help you create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for children with Down syndrome.
Cost: £25 per person.
Venue: Warrington Early Years SEN team are kindly hosting the session on behalf of Down Syndrome Cheshire.

Time: Refreshments will be available from 9.15am. Course 9.30am start– 4pm close.
