The concert begins with Rimsky-Korsakov’s masterpiece Scheherazade, inspired by the Arabian Nights tales. Sweeping melodies, colourful orchestration, and the luminous voice of the solo violin conjure stories of mystery, romance, and daring voyages on the high seas.
In the second half, the orchestra steps into the world of cinema with symphonic arrangements of iconic scores. From the wonder of E.T. and the epic saga of Star Wars, to the thrills of Jurassic Park and the exuberance of The Greatest Showman, these unforgettable themes promise a celebration of symphonic storytelling for all ages.
