About

Sometimes we need to shake things up a bit! To re-energise in a way that a night on the sofa just won't do? Perhaps you're in the mood to let your hair down or to try something new?

Group drumming is a great way to lift the spirits and has benefits for our whole being - it provides stress relief and a sense of connection, resilience and pure joy! There is even evidence that it boosts the immune system and reduces pain perception by releasing endorphins.

Come and drum with us this Autumn! We will gather on Tuesday the 18th of November 7:30-9:30pm at Pennington Memorial Hall (just outside Ulverston). All levels of experience welcome, we will start with a quick overview of the basics before learning a multipart traditional rhythm, perhaps moving on to some more 'freestyle' playing and maybe even a song! The emphasis will be on enjoyment and flow rather than strict accuracy.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL - EARLY BIRD TICKETS AVAILABLE UNTIL OCTOBER 14th ! (NB. if you are struggling financially and need to pay less please just get in touch!)

Bring a drum if you have one. There are plenty of drums available to borrow. Please select the option to borrow a drum on the second booking page if you'd like one. There will also be a few drums for sale at this event - more info on that coming soon...

We will have a short tea break part way through and aim to cater for most dietary requirements! If you'd like to offer or need a lift please provide your info when booking and we'll see if we can help facilitate that.

I hope to see you there!

Amy :-)

ABOUT YOUR HOST

Amy Boud is an experienced creative and nature based facilitator, musician and songwriter. She founded ‘Playful Nature’ in 2011, which became a Community Interest Company in 2024, to support more people to connect with their instinctive, playful selves, with each other, and the living earth… to nurture health and happiness and bring a sense of wholeness and presence to our lives. She hopes that this contributes towards a shift to a new culture that is respectful and in balance with all life on Earth. Amy has been delighting in making music for years – in drum circles, singing groups, writing songs and playing in bands.
