We are excited to invite you to a dedicated event bringing together schools and key services from across Westmorland and Furness with a clear focus on transition at every stage of education – from early years, through primary and secondary, and into further education or employment.
Transitions are key points in a child or young person’s journey. Done well, they build resilience, confidence, and healthy relationships. Done poorly, they can create barriers that affect wellbeing, learning, and future outcomes. This event is an opportunity to learn, share, and strengthen how we support children and young people at each transition stage.
The day will include:
• Insights from local data on transition and emotional wellbeing.
• Voices from services and schools supporting children and young people through change.
• Practical strategies and toolkits for universal and targeted support around transitions.
• Opportunities for collaboration across schools, services, and communities.
