About
The Independent Learning Assignment (ILA) has been an established part of our Sixth Form programme for over a decade, offering students the opportunity to complete a piece of extended, independent research during the Trinity Term of the Lower Sixth Form. More recently this has been complemented by the Original Research in Science (ORIS) programme, which offers a select number of students the opportunity to undertake research in a university or industry setting.Each year we select a shortlist of the very best reports to be presented to a panel of judges, parents and fellow students, culminating in the presentation of the coveted ILA/ ORIS awards. I am delighted to invite you and your son(s) to join us for the presentation of this year’s shortlisted entries in the Auditorium. Following the presentations, refreshments are served while the judges deliberate, followed by the awards ceremony, in time for an 8:00pm finish.
