Getting Ready for the Cumbria Coastal Route (Southern Coast)
About
Cumbria Tourism has been commissioned by Cumberland Council to deliver the Cumbria Coastal Route project to help businesses and communities make the most of this exciting opportunity for the Cumbria Coast. This event is aimed at the Southern Cumberland coast.
Join us as we start journeying through this exciting project. Come along to hear more about the ambitions for the route, find out how you can help shape its development and how your business can benefit from getting involved.
In this information event/workshop, you'll hear about how to become a CCR Champion and get ready to welcome visitors exploring the routes in different ways, and how to make sure you fit into their itineraries.
But this is not just about us talking to you - we need to hear from you too! You'll have the chance to contribute ideas for telling the stories of the route that we'll be incorporate PR and marketing campaigns.
This workshop is part of the Cumbria Coast Route project, funded by UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund through Cumberland Council. It is aimed at any business operating in the visitor economy from Millom, Ravenglass, Silecroft, Haverigg and surrounding coastal areas. It is also open to any Cumberland coastal business, however, there will also be similar events held in Maryport (23 Oct) and Whitehaven (4th Nov).
If you have any questions, please contact Alison Hilton at ahilton@cumbriatourism.org.
The workshop will be hosted by the CCR Project Team.
Tea & coffee will be provided. Please arrive from 3.30pm for a 4pm start.
