Dr Derek Hird will discuss 'Strictness and kindness in the ‘Way of the Father’: Reappraising Confucian fatherhood through zhongyong/yinyang dialectics'.Dr Derek Hird is a Senior Lecturer in Chinese Studies and Interim Director of the Confucius Institute at Lancaster University.
This seminar is co-hosted by Languages and Global Cultures and the Confucius Institute.
