Working With Our Clients’ Story In The Landscape
About
An ecological Approach To Life ScriptWe will explore the contribution of our landscape as a living metaphor and its vital relationship with our life story. Using outdoor practical exercises, we will develop ways to bring this into our therapy practice.
This two-hour experiential workshop invites counsellors and psychotherapists to explore the emotional complexity of family disappointment through a neurodivergent lens. Drawing on Transactional Analysis, we’ll look at the “fantasy family” and the real one — how expectations, grief, and intergenerational patterns shape festive encounters.
You’ll gain insight and practical tools to help clients balance closeness and distance, recognise signs of overwhelm, and co-regulate across neurotypes. The session closes with a reflective exercise to restore permission, choice, and compassion in family relationships.
