A series of brief, focused online events where charity leaders hear directly from peers who are trying something new in their organisations. Each non-consecutive, hour-long session will feature a different sector leader sharing their practical insights from different approaches they have taken – whether in partnership working, working models, internal culture, campaign promotion, and so much more. Designed to be short, useful, and to the point – these are ideal for busy leaders looking for fresh ideas and real-world examples to learn from their peers.
Speakers for this Leader Learning Session:
Lorna Wilson, CEO at Barrhead Housing Association and Richard Fairley, Head of People and Culture at Barrhead Housing Association, Cloch Housing Association, and Dalmuir Park Housing Association.
How can organisations work together to access senior expertise while managing resources wisely? Join us as we explore an innovative approach taken by three organisations who jointly appointed a Head of People and Culture to work across all three.
Lorna and Richard will unpack how this collaboration came about, the early conversations, the shared needs that brought the organisations together, and the practical steps that made it possible. They will reflect on what has worked well, what’s been challenging, and the lessons learned along the way.
The discussion will cover their experience of fractional recruitment which could be a sustainable option for how organisations can share specialist roles, access high level capability, and spread the cost. While this example focuses on HR, the approach has potential across many areas where collaboration and flexibility can create better outcomes.
Join this conversation to gain practical insights into shared leadership, flexible resourcing, and new ways of accessing talent in a changing landscape.
This event is only open to Charity Leadership Scotland Members.
