Parenting Skills Course
About
Parenting Skills Course in Cardigan, west Wales; A Three-Part Workshop Series with NVCThis three-part, in-person course invites parents and carers into a new paradigm of parenting — one rooted in partnership, empathy, and authentic connection.
Using the tools and framework of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), we will explore how to move away from power struggles and towards relationships based on trust and collaboration.
Each three-hour session will combine:
Sharing circle — a safe, held space to be heard and to hear others’ experiences.
Structured NVC learning — practical tools for listening, expressing, and making requests with clarity and compassion.
Exploratory role plays — live scenarios drawn from participants’ own parenting challenges, where we can practise new skills together in a supportive group.
The series is designed to be experiential and nourishing. You will leave with:
A deeper understanding of the NVC framework and how it applies to family life.
Practical language shifts that reduce conflict and foster cooperation.
Embodied practice in responding to real-life parenting situations.
A sense of companionship and community as you walk this path with others.
