Sing and Discover: choral masterpieces by J S Bach
In this two-hour online video workshop, John Hancorn and Richard Wigmore explore two contrasting works from either end of Bach's Leipzig career: the brilliantly theatrical Magnificat, with its resplendent choruses and concise, expressive arias, and the monumental B minor Mass, a conspectus of Bach's art as a choral composer. We shall explore the music in some detail, with recorded illustrations, while participants will join in with some of the greatest choruses ever written.
All recordings will be at A = 415Hz
