Walking the Anglo-Saxon Frontier
A country walk through pastures and across streams to uncover the ancient boundary where the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms of Northumbria and Mercia once met. This is also the old county boundary between Lancashire and Yorkshire! Along the way we will have a look at the medieval Downham Mill and take in the views looking north to Yorkshire's 'Three Peaks'.
