About
It’s all change for local government in Cumbria and we’re bringing you, the business community, a unique opportunity to meet the people at the centre of one of the biggest changes seen in our county for decades. From April 1, the current six district councils and Cumbria County Council will be replaced by two new unitary authorities.
Andrew Seekings, chief executive of the new Cumberland Council, and Sam Plum, chief executive of the Westmorland and Furness Council, will be joining us to talk about the changes and answer your questions just days before the big switchover.
The event will take place at the Rheged Centre, Penrith, and on the evening, you'll also have the chance to enjoy the Great Print 8 exhibition, which showcases the work of 58 printmakers from across the UK. Further details to follow.
