1. Free Weekly Event
This is a free walking and talking event held every Sunday, delivered by The Geordieland Experience to support men’s mental health, social connection, and wellbeing.
2. Ticket Registration
By booking a ticket, you agree to be added to the Men’s Mental Health WhatsApp Group Chat, which is used for event updates, mutual support, and general communication about walks and wellbeing.
3. Confidentiality & Respect
All conversations shared during the walks or in the group chat are treated as confidential within the group.
Participants must show respect, kindness, and understanding at all times.
4. Weekly Location Changes
Each week’s walk takes place in a different area of Geordieland, offering fresh scenery and a rotation of locations across the North East.
Full meeting details will be shared via WhatsApp before each walk.
5. Participation & Safety
You take part in the walk at your own risk.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor walking.
If you have any health issues that may affect your participation, please take necessary precautions.
The Geordieland Experience is not liable for injuries, accidents, or personal belongings lost during the walk.
6. Support Outside the Walks
Although the walks take place weekly, support is available via WhatsApp at any time.
This is a peer-support space — not a crisis line — but we do aim to be there for each other when needed.
7. Code of Conduct
All participants agree to:
Behave respectfully towards others
Avoid discrimination, judgement, or aggressive behaviour
Keep the environment positive, supportive, and safe
Understand it’s okay not to be okay — and everyone is welcome
Anyone who breaches these guidelines may be removed from the group or asked not to attend future sessions.
8. Purpose of the Walks
These sessions are designed to:
Encourage blokes to open up
Reduce isolation
Improve mental wellbeing
Help rebuild confidence and community after some tough years
This is a non-clinical, non-professional support activity, run by a trained Mental Health First Aider.
9. Cancellation or Changes
On rare occasions, walks may be cancelled or moved due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances. Updates will be sent via WhatsApp.
