Shaftesbury Rotary Easter Fun Run 7TH April 2024
1. Definitions:
i. Event: Fun Run organized by the Shaftesbury Rotary club;
ii. Participant: the person taking part in the Event;
iii. Children: a child aged 3 (three) to 15 (fifteen) years old requiring supervision to take part in the Event;
iv. Accompanying Adult: the parent or guardian taking part in the Event with a child aged 3 (three) to 8 (eight);
v. Parent or Guardian: the person giving consent for a participant aged under 18 (eighteen) to take part and agreeing to these terms and conditions on their behalf;
2. Entry fees: The entry fee for an Event is as detailed on the online entry system on the Website and will be the fee applicable at the date of submission of the entry application. The entry fee is non-refundable
3. Closing date: The closing date for entries to an Event is 9am on the Sunday 7th April.
4. Entry policy:
o The Event is open to all Participants aged 3 (three) years and above on the day of the Event.
o All Participants under the age of 18 (eighteen) years must obtain parental consent in order to register and participate in the Event.
o All Children aged between 3 (three) and 15 (fifteen) years on the day must be accompanied by a registered Adult Participant aged 18 (eighteen) years or more on the day of the Event.
o The Accompanying Adult can accompany a maximum of 2 (two) children. The Accompanying Adult shall be responsible for the supervision of Children during the Event.
o The Accompanying Adult agrees to the Participant entering into the Event on the basis of these terms and conditions.
o The Accompanying Adult/ shall ensure that the Participant understands the content of these terms and conditions and shall use their best endeavours to ensure that the Participant complies with these terms and conditions.
o Participants enter the Event entirely at their own risk. The Organiser shall not be liable for any injury or loss occurring as a result of participation in the Event (including, without limitation, any losses resulting from the Organiser’s negligence), provided that nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit the Organiser’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from the Organiser’s negligence or for any other type of liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
5. General obligations:
o Running is a physically active sport. Anyone participating should always seek advice from their GP before taking up a strenuous physical pursuit such as this. You accept that you, and the child you are accompanying, take part entirely at your/their own risk and that it is your responsibility to ensure that you, and the child you are accompanying, are fit and able to take part in the event.
o The Participant shall:
only run along the designated race course and not off the course;
be respectful towards all others participating in the Event;
follow the instructions and guidelines given to him/her them during the Event; and
report any problems to any of the volunteers or marshals who will be positioned around the race course.
o The Accompanying Adult shall ensure that the Participant shall:

o Participants are responsible for ensuring that they, and the child they are accompanying, are wearing appropriate attire (including footwear) when taking part in an Event, taking into account the nature of the Event, the weather forecast and the terrain involved.
o All Participants must write the following on the reverse of their official number, which must be worn on the front of shirts during the Event:
Their name.
The details of any health problems or current medication

This ticket was produced using the TryBooking UK Ltd website. All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the account holder known herein as the “Event Organiser” using the TryBooking UK Ltd website to manage this event and not that of TryBooking UK Ltd., its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, other partners and employees known herein as “TryBooking UK”. 1. TryBooking UK is not responsible for the Terms and Conditions or any other instructions or directives imposed by the Event Organiser. 2. TryBooking UK is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase of this ticket. 3. TryBooking UK cannot exchange or refund this ticket. 4. The additional booking fee that may apply when purchasing tickets via the TryBooking UK Ltd website is not negotiable or refundable and can be subject to change at TryBooking UK's sole discretion. 5. A cancelled, postponed or altered event does not constitute an obligation by TryBooking UK to substitute, refund or provide other compensation monetary or otherwise. 6. Any dispute which may arise regarding the booking of this event or the way in which this event is conducted or the conditions in which this event is held is solely between the ticket holder and the Event Organiser and not a part of TryBooking UK's responsibilities.
