Terms and Conditions
The Save Grange Lido Cross Bay walk will be a unique experience and fantastic event with breathtaking views that starts in Arnside and finishes across the bay on the Promenade in Grange-over-Sands. The walk is organised by Save Grange Lido Ltd (a Community Benefit Society regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority reg number 8004).
To keep everyone safe and for the walk to run smoothly the following Terms and Conditions apply:
Arrivals and departures
1. Please note that there are no toilet facilities on the walk so consider your needs. There are limited Public toilets at the start of the walk on Arnside Promenade and in Grange-over-Sands at the end of the walk. Please arrive in good time before the walk in Arnsiide as the demand for the Public toilets is considerable.
2. Please consider using public transport to arrive at the start point. Trains run on the Furness line between Lancaster and Barrow in Furness calling at Arnside and Grange over Sands in both directions.
3. If arriving by car, please park considerately. Parking in Arnside at the start of the walk is limited. You are responsible for your own transport arrangements to the start and from the finish of the walk.
Registration
4. Registration (Arnside Promenade at the bottom of the slipway opposite The Albion) will open at 2:30pm and will close at 3:30pm, if you have not registered by the time the guide commences the briefing for the walk at 3:35pm you may not be permitted to take part in the walk. To speed up the registration process, please register your party by the booking surname and have emergency contact details for the day to hand.
The Walk
5. You must have a reasonable level of physical fitness and be able to walk unaided for at least ten miles. No carried infants, prams, pushchairs or wheeled items of any description are permitted on the walk.
6. You must pay attention to and follow all instructions given by the guide and stewards. They are there to ensure your safety.
7. Although routes are largely flat, the ground surface can be demanding consisting of sand, mud, shingle, pebble and rocks.
8. Walkers aged 16 and under must be supervised at all times by a parent or designated adult. The minimum age for entry on the walk is 8 years on the day of the walk.
9. Parents must give careful consideration as to whether this walk is suitable for their child. The walk can be onerous, and it may be difficult to carry children if they become tired.
10. During the walk you will cross at least two river channels that are cold and possibly fast flowing and deep.The depth may be greater depending on the weather conditions (average is 60cm). (This will be dynamically risk assessed at the time by the Guide.) You will become wet during the walk.The final leg of the walk is over marshland which may be slippery. You must take care and be able to cope with these conditions.
11. The weather can be changeable.Please bring suitable waterproof clothing, and extra layers in case you feel cold. Dry clothing, a towel and footwear to change into at the end of the walk is advisable.
12. It is recommended that you bring sun cream, personal medication including blister relief, sunglasses, sun hat, water and suitable food to consume on the move (e.g., flapjack, bananas, or Kendal mint cake.). You must take your rubbish home, Morecambe Bay remains special for its local communities and wildlife.
13. You are not allowed to consume alcoholic drinks before the walk or during the walk. Neither are you permitted to Smoke tobacco or Vape on the walk or take drugs other than prescribed medication.
14. It is recommended that you bring a fully charged mobile phone (in a waterproof container). All property taken on the walk is at the owner’s risk. The organisers of the walk accept no liability for any loss or damage to property.
Liability
15. When you take part in the walk you do so entirely at your own risk. You must take responsibility for your own safety and decide whether you are capable of taking part. Save Grange Lido Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for any personal injury, loss or damage occasioned during the walk however caused.
Publicity
16. Save Grange Lido Ltd’s representatives will be taking photographs and drone footage during the walk. The photographs and footage may be used throughout all Save Grange Lido’s media channels to further our cause and as part of the history of the journey of the project to reinstate the Lido on Grange Promenade. By taking part in the walk you give consent to images of you taken during the walk being used in Save Grange Lido Ltd’s publicity and media channels.
Cancellation and Refunds
17. All tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Early Bird price is available until 11:59pm on Sunday 15th March.
18. In the very unusual event that a walk is cancelled (due to it being deemed unsafe because of weather conditions or for any other reason) Save Grange Lido Ltd will try to notify you at least the evening before via email. Please check your email for updates. We will also post notices on our Social Media Channels and Website.
19. Should the walk be cancelled you will be offered a full refund or an alternative walk date if available. Should you wish to donate your entry fee to help continue our work at Save Grange Lido Ltd, please email cbw@savegrangelido.co.uk as soon as possible after cancellation and by Saturday 18th August 2026. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible after this date.
Dogs
20. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but are the responsibility of their owner and their places must be booked in advance. Dogs must be kept on a leash and under control throughout the walk, and must be able to cope with the conditions of the walk detailed above. Dog owners must be able to carry their dog across any water channel should the dog be unable to make their own way across. A maximum of two dogs per adult are permitted on the walk, however, it is recommended that the number of dogs in a party should not exceed the number of humans. Owners should bring water and snacks for their dog and are responsible for picking up after their dog.

This ticket was produced using the TryBooking UK Ltd website. All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the account holder known herein as the “Event Organiser” using the TryBooking UK Ltd website to manage this event and not that of TryBooking UK Ltd., its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, other partners and employees known herein as “TryBooking UK”. 1. TryBooking UK is not responsible for the Terms and Conditions or any other instructions or directives imposed by the Event Organiser. 2. TryBooking UK is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase of this ticket. 3. TryBooking UK cannot exchange or refund this ticket. 4. The additional booking fee that may apply when purchasing tickets via the TryBooking UK Ltd website is not negotiable or refundable and can be subject to change at TryBooking UK's sole discretion. 5. A cancelled, postponed or altered event does not constitute an obligation by TryBooking UK to substitute, refund or provide other compensation monetary or otherwise. 6. Any dispute which may arise regarding the booking of this event or the way in which this event is conducted or the conditions in which this event is held is solely between the ticket holder and the Event Organiser and not a part of TryBooking UK's responsibilities.
