Terms and Conditions
1. Participation and Safety
All participants must follow the instructions of the official guide and event organisers at all times as the Cross Bay Walk crosses tidal sands and rivers and participants acknowledge that conditions can change quickly.
2. Health and Fitness
Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and mobility to complete a walk of approximately 8–9 miles across uneven sand and shallow water.
If you have a medical condition, injury, or mobility issue, please consult your GP before taking part.
Participants take part at their own risk.
3. Weather and Tide Conditions
The walk is dependent on weather and tidal conditions.
If the guide or organisers determine conditions are unsafe, the walk may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled.
Participant safety will always take priority.
4. Clothing and Equipment
Participants must come prepared with appropriate clothing, including:
Comfortable walking footwear suitable for wet sand
Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, waterproofs if needed)
A small bag with water and any personal essentials
Participants may be required to remove footwear when crossing channels or the River Kent.
5. Age Requirements
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Parents/guardians remain responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children.
6. Liability Disclaimer
By taking part in the Cross Bay Walk, participants acknowledge that the activity takes place in a natural environment with inherent risks.
The organisers will take reasonable steps to ensure safety but cannot accept liability for injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings, except where caused by negligence.
7. Photography and Media
Photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotion and fundraising purposes.
By participating, you agree that images may be used on social media, websites, or promotional materials unless you inform the organisers in advance.
8. Charity Fundraising
This event is raising funds for One Woman At A Time, supporting girls in West Pokot, Kenya.
Donations made in connection with the event are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.
9. Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for:
Their own health and wellbeing during the walk
Following all instructions from guides and organisers
Ensuring they bring appropriate clothing and supplies
10. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or attending the Cross Bay Walk 2026, participants confirm that they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This ticket was produced using the TryBooking UK Ltd website. All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the account holder known herein as the “Event Organiser” using the TryBooking UK Ltd website to manage this event and not that of TryBooking UK Ltd., its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, other partners and employees known herein as “TryBooking UK”. 1. TryBooking UK is not responsible for the Terms and Conditions or any other instructions or directives imposed by the Event Organiser. 2. TryBooking UK is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase of this ticket. 3. TryBooking UK cannot exchange or refund this ticket. 4.
