Tour de France Countdown Ride & Celebration 2026
Event Terms & Conditions
By registering for and participating in the Tour de France Countdown Ride & Celebration on Friday 3 July 2026, organised by the Keswick Tourism Association (KTA), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Participation
1.1 Participation in the event is free of charge, but all riders must register in advance.
1.2 Participants take part entirely at their own risk.
1.3 All participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and capable of completing their chosen route.
1.4 Riders must ensure their bicycle is roadworthy and suitable for their chosen route.
2. Route Information
2.1 The event includes two routes:
• Tour de France Route (challenging)
• Lake Loop Route (leisure)
2.2 GPX route files and final event information will be provided to registered participants approximately one week before the event.
2.3 The Tour de France Route includes a guided lead-out from the Moot Hall to the top of Manor Brow. Following this, participants will ride the route independently using the GPX route provided. Event guides will ride at the rear of the group to provide support and assistance where possible.
2.4 The Lake Loop Route will be fully guided by event leaders, with one guide at the front and one guide at the rear of the group.
2.5 Participants are responsible for navigating the route, following the GPX file provided and obeying the Highway Code at all times.
3. Safety
3.1 All participants must obey the Highway Code and any instructions given by event organisers, marshals or ride leaders.
3.2 Helmets are strongly recommended for all riders and are mandatory for participants under the age of 18.
3.3 Riders must cycle in a safe and considerate manner at all times.
3.4 The organisers reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone whose behaviour is considered unsafe, inappropriate or likely to put themselves or others at risk.
4. Children and Young People
4.1 Participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian.
4.2 Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the event.
5. Liability and Participation Disclaimer
5.1 Cycling is a physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, adverse weather conditions, road hazards and mechanical failures.
5.2 By participating in the event, riders confirm that they are physically fit and capable of completing their chosen route.
5.3 Participants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate insurance cover for their participation if they deem it necessary.
5.4 Riders participate entirely at their own risk and are responsible for their own actions and decisions throughout the event.
5.5 The Keswick Tourism Association, Ultimate Cycling Adventures, Café HNW, event partners, volunteers and marshals shall not be liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, damage to property, accident, delay or expense incurred during or as a result of participation in the event, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law or arises directly from proven negligence on the part of the organisers.
5.6 Participants are responsible for the security and condition of their bicycles, equipment and personal belongings throughout the event.
6. Event Changes and Cancellation
6.1 The organisers reserve the right to amend routes, timings or event details where necessary for safety, operational or weather-related reasons.
6.2 The event may be postponed, altered or cancelled at short notice due to circumstances beyond the organisers' control.
7. Photography and Media
7.1 Photography and video recording may take place throughout the event.
7.2 By attending the event, participants consent to photographs and video footage being used by the Keswick Tourism Association, Ultimate Cycling Adventures, Café HNW and associated partners for marketing, promotional and publicity purposes.
8. Data Protection
8.1 Personal information collected during registration will only be used for the administration of this event and related event communications.
8.2 Participant information will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
9. Acceptance
9.1 By registering for the event, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
9.2 Participants acknowledge that they are taking part voluntarily and accept the inherent risks associated with cycling on public roads.

All issues relating to the sale of tickets and the hosting of their associated event(s) are the responsibility of the account holder known herein as the “Event Organiser” using the TryBooking UK Ltd website to manage this event and not that of TryBooking UK Ltd., its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, other partners and employees known herein as “TryBooking UK”. 1. Any dispute which may arise regarding the booking of this event or the way in which this event is conducted or the conditions in which this event is held is solely between the ticket holder and the Event Organiser and not a part of TryBooking UK's responsibilities.
