WRITING COMPETITION

Classes:
children 10 to 14 years – a story in 500 words or less
adults 15 years up - a story in 1500 words or less (the piece can be factual or imaginary.)

TERMS & Conditions
1. Eligibility
Entry is open to any writer. Entries must be the original and unpublished work of the entrant, which is not currently submitted for publication nor for any other competition or award. You may submit only one entry.
2. Manuscripts
Please layout your entry in double spacing with a front page stating your name, address, phone number and email address. Please also state story title and word count. AI generated entries will not be accepted. POST ENTRIES TO SEDBERGH BOOKTOWN 41 MAIN STREET, SEDBERGH, LA10 5BL.
3. Competition Judging
Entries will be judged by ……….., and their decision will be final, with no correspondence being entered into.
Entrants waive their moral rights in the short story, allowing Sedbergh Booktown to use, copy, modify, adapt and publicly display their entry.
4. Notification
Winners will be notified by February 15, 2025.
