Booking, Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Ampleforth Abbey Trust reserves the right to cancel your booking for any reason including but not limited to if we judge that we cannot accommodate your individual requirements, or to ensure compliance with our safeguarding policies and risk assessments.
We recognise that there may be unforeseen and exceptional times when retreatants will need to cancel retreats. If a booking is made, that often means another retreatant cannot make a retreat here and refunding/rescheduling involves administrative time. With all short notice cancellations, additional charges will have been incurred to Ampleforth Abbey Trust.
• If, for any reason, we are not able to offer the retreat booked, the amount paid will be refunded in full.
• If a retreatant cancels their booking, more than 2 weeks before the event, we will offer a refund minus an administration fee.
• If a cancellation is made less than 2 weeks before the event, no refund will be made.
We strongly recommend you consider taking out insurance. Some annual travel insurances may cover individuals in the event of cancellation, so please check with your insurer if you think this may apply.
Safeguarding Statement:
Ampleforth Abbey Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young person and adults at risk. The Trust expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. Part of that commitment requires us to obtain obtain details of all adults who are residing at Ampleforth. Please note this is a requirement of all adults who use Ampleforth' s facilities while children or adults at risk are present.
Children's and Teenagers Programme:
The Children's and Teenagers' programme is available from Reception - Year 13. In order for the programmes to operate smoothly and to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved we ask you to note and to commit to the following: If your child has any learning or behavioural difficulties that a responsible adult will need to be at the sessions at all times to support your child. Children will need to arrive promptly and be collected at the end of each session. Although the volunteers are running the sessions have been appropriately trained in safeguarding, they are not trained teachers. If there are any difficulties with your child during the sessions please be aware that we may need to contact you.

The additional booking fee that may apply when purchasing tickets via the TryBooking UK Ltd website is not negotiable or refundable and can be subject to change at TryBooking UK's sole discretion. 5. A cancelled, postponed or altered event does not constitute an obligation by TryBooking UK to substitute, refund or provide other compensation monetary or otherwise. 6. Any dispute which may arise regarding the booking of this event or the way in which this event is conducted or the conditions in which this event is held is solely between the ticket holder and the Event Organiser and not a part of TryBooking UK's responsibilities.
