Terms and Conditions  −  A Festival for Children: A Celebration of What is Possible

By registering for and attending this event, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Attendance and Supervision
This event is specifically designed for families with a disabled child aged 7–16 years old.

All children attending the event must be accompanied at all times by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult (aged 18 or over).

The supervising adult is fully responsible for the behaviour, welfare, and safety of any children in their care throughout the event.

2. Health and Safety
All activities and the event site have been thoroughly risk assessed by the organisers and activity providers.

While every effort has been made to ensure a safe and inclusive environment, each family is ultimately responsible for their own health and safety during the event.

It is the responsibility of attendees to ensure they participate in activities that are appropriate to their individual needs and capabilities.

If you or your child have any medical, mobility, or support requirements, please inform the organisers in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made where possible.

3. Weather and Cancellation
This is an outdoor event and is subject to weather conditions.

In the event of severe or unsafe weather (e.g. heavy rain, high winds, storms), the organisers reserve the right to cancel the event on the day for safety reasons.

If cancellation is necessary, registered attendees will be informed as soon as possible via the contact details provided at registration (email and/or phone).

Where possible, a rescheduled date may be offered, but this is not guaranteed.

4. Equipment and Accessibility
A range of all-terrain wheelchairs and adaptive cycles will be available to try out during the event.

Use of this equipment is at your own risk and under the supervision of trained staff or volunteers.

Families are welcome to bring their own equipment; however, the organisers cannot take responsibility for personal belongings or mobility aids brought to the site.

5. First Aid and Emergencies
First aid qualified personnel will be on-site throughout the event.

In case of an emergency, please report immediately to the nearest event staff member.

The location of the nearest emergency support and facilities will be highlighted on the day.

6. Photography and Media
Photographs and video may be taken during the event for promotional purposes by the organisers and their partners.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify staff on arrival and you will be given an opt-out lanyard or badge.

No attendees are permitted to photograph or film other families without their express permission.

7. Liability
The organisers, partners, and activity providers will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or personal accident that occurs during the event, except where caused by proven negligence.

Attendance at this event is entirely at your own risk, and by participating, you agree to release the organisers and partners from any claims related to the event experience.

8. Code of Conduct
All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and inclusively throughout the event.

Aggressive, discriminatory, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.

9. Changes to the Programme
The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme or activity schedule due to staffing, safety, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Any significant changes will be communicated on the day at the welcome point.

10. Booking and Contact
This is a free but ticketed event. Pre-booking is essential to help us plan and accommodate each family's specific access needs.

If you need to cancel your place or update your booking, please contact the organisers as soon as possible.

For any questions before the event, please email: accessthedales@gmail.com

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable day for all. Thank you for supporting the values of accessibility, respect, and community.
