Terms and Conditions- Attending an Event, Guided Walk or Work Party with the Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd.
The Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd ("The Trust") will take all reasonable measures to ensure your safety. However, our walks and most of our events are outdoor activities with a risk of personal accident and/or injury. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement. Please ensure that you are aware of the levels of physical activity that will be undertaken during your event, and that you are suitably equipped.
Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd accepts no responsibility for personal accidents or injury or for loss or damage to personal effects and, by signing up for the event, you acknowledge and accept this. All personal equipment is, at all times, carried at your own risk. We reserve the right to refuse participation in the event of someone wearing inappropriate clothing or footwear, e.g. trainers for dry-stone walling. The decision of the activity leader is final.
Changes or Cancellation by the Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd:
We reserve the right to cancel an event, or amend a walk route, at any point as we deem appropriate. If a major change becomes necessary in advance of an event, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible. It may be that cancellation of the event or changes to the route (either before or during a walk) are required due to adverse weather conditions, fitness, injuries etc.
Please ensure that you are aware of the government guidelines regarding COVID-19, applying at the time of the event, including those relating to social distancing, personal hygiene, testing and reporting health issues. If you have any of the recognised symptoms of COVID-19, you must follow the guidance in place from the government and not attend the event.
By partaking in one of our events, you acknowledge that undertaking any activity while the virus is still active is increasing your risk of infection and, whilst we will take all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of transmission, the Trust has no liability for any related losses, costs, expenses or other sums of any type. Events may need to be changed or cancelled as a result of ongoing COVID-19 disruption, government advice, or other reasons beyond the Trust’s control, and we reserve the right to do so.
By making a booking with the Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd you agree to the Trust using your information and passing it to third parties where necessary in order to run the event or provide the walk or where required by law. The Trust will store and process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Rules (2018) and we will not use your information for any purposes not connected with Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd.
In the unlikely event that you should want to make a complaint about any part of your experience with the Rusland Horizons Trust Ltd, you should raise the issue as soon as possible with your event leader. If you remain dissatisfied, you can email the Trust as soon as possible at email@example.com.
We hope you enjoy your Rusland Horizons Trust event in our lovely area!
