Nature Therapy

Between Monday 3 October 2022 and Monday 12 December 2022
Support your wellness through engagement with nature. Enjoy a walk through the local environment while integrating mindful practices to engage your senses with sights, smells, tactile feelings, tastes and emotional experiences. After the walk there will be an opportunity to share experiences and create group mandalas. Suitable for ages over 16. Walk will be less than 1km over an hour.

Porcelain Hand Building Workshop

If you've ever wanted to make an artwork with porcelain clay but don't know where to start, this is the workshop for you! For the first half of the session you will learn the fundamentals of ceramic hand building techniques through demonstrations and making your own test pieces. In the second half of the day you will make your own sculpture that you may choose displayed in a mini exhibition before taking it home. All materials and equipment supplied and a delicious lunch is included.

Nean McKenzie's first book, Cryptosight, was published in October 2019 and her second novel Xenoflight, is coming out in May 2022. Both books are stories for 8-12-year-olds about Australian cryptozoology (creatures that are not proven to exist). Nean has a diploma of Professional Writing and Editing from RMIT and writes regular book reviews for Buzzwords magazine. Imbi Neeme is a writer of long and short fiction. Her novel The Spill won the 2019 Penguin Literary Prize and was published by Penguin Random House Australia in 2020. She was the recipient of the 2019 Henry Handel Richardson Fellowship for excellence in short story writing at Varuna, the National Writers’ House. She lives in the west of Melbourne. Get to know your sewing machine and learn key functions and settings in the first session, then work on projects under the guidance of Maureen, our expert tutor from Elle and Stuart in Altona. Forest Therapy Walk

Bicycle repair & Maintenance Workshop

Join the crew from Spoke 'n' Sprocket to learn how to maintain your bike with a basic service and do basic repairs such as changing a tyre tube. Keeping your bicycle in good order keeps you safe while riding and makes biking more enjoyable. Learn how to check and adjust your bike's brakes, gears and wheels, and fix the dreaded puncture.
