About
A special free public concert will be held at MEMO Music Hall St. Kilda to mark the start of DonateLife Week. This event is supported by a DonateLife Community Awareness Grant. The concert will feature performances by Indigenous & African musicians, (Elijah Augustine, Ajak Kwai and KANANI) husband and wife (donor/recipient) duo Fiona Lee Maynard and James Lomas and the band The Oz Transplants featuring members Paulie Stewart (Painters And Dockers), indigenous hiphop star Little G, and Rock Queen Jo Fraser who are all organ recipients.
Special guests will include staff from the Austin Hospital. This event is sure to attract a diverse array of music lovers and audiences interested in the broader discussion around organ donation.
βItβs not only the recipients who benefit from organ donations, but their family, loved ones and support teams. This is an incalculable benefit. What better way to communicate this than through the universal language of music.ββ
