SAT 08 FEB 2025: Doors 7.30pm Show 8pm
@ The Archies Creek Hotel
You are invited to a one hour, informal, work-in-progress reading of a new work by BRIAN NANKERVIS - THE BEACH HOUSE YEARS … 1964 to 2003
… the story of a beach house and the family that buy it in 1964.
"Harvey and Shirl Findlay bought Seahaven, a fibro cement beach house overlooking Westernport Bay, on the first day of 1964. It was love at first sight. Seahaven shimmered in the heat on a barren piece of land, looking across grass, scrub and sea towards rolling hills and, somewhere further on, the city. The house faced north and was shaped like a Vita Brits box. Four rooms, louvered windows, concrete paths and a long swing hanging from the one tree on the block".
