Join Craig Ross, a sports educator, coach, and mentor with over 35 years’ experience across elite and community sport, for an honest and insightful evening designed specifically for parents and caregivers.Craig has worked at NZ Youth, Northern Districts, and New Zealand Cricket levels, and through his consultancy Brave & Beyond, he now supports parents, schools, and sporting organisations to create positive, balanced sporting environments where young people can thrive.
During the evening, Craig will share practical tools and strategies to help families support children through trials, selections, and performance pressure. He will explore ways to navigate disappointment, confidence dips, and big emotions at home or on the sideline, while also offering guidance on how to balance encouragement, enjoyment, and performance without adding pressure. The session will focus on building positive, healthy family experiences around sport.
This session is relevant whether your child is new to sport, enjoys community participation, or is exploring higher-performance pathways. Places are limited.
