Burton on the Wolds Playing Field Association is pleased to announce that for the 2026 tennis season we are fortunate to  once again have local tennis coach Jad Taan working with us. On Tuesday's after school he will be offering two sessions of junior coaching. We are also hoping to offer sessions for adult beginners and improvers a Saturday morning.

Jad says “As a qualified tennis coach with years of playing and coaching experience, I am excited to share the brilliance of our sport with you. Come with me to build your skills, confidence and love for the game, to reap the rewards. Whether you are just starting out, or aiming to become the next great, let’s have fun and improve together!”

JUNIOR COACHING can be booked in half-term blocks, There no need to have an annual subscription for the tennis courts. However by booking junior coaching you will receive  discount code for 15% off a household subscription

First half-term of coaching – 6 lessons

Choose which time slot on 14th, 21st, 28th April, 5th, 12th, 19th May 

3.45 - 4.40 beginners, Foundation Stage, Years 1 and 2.  

4.45 - 5.40 improvers, older children including beginners   

Cost for 6 lessons, £42 for one child, payable in advance

Second half-term of coaching - 6 lessons

Choose which time slot on 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th June & 7th July.

4.45 - 5.40 improvers older children including beginners 

Cost for 6 sessions, £42 for one child, payable in advance.

Terms and Conditions for Junior Tennis Coaching 2026

1. Places must be booked in half-term blocks through TryBooking https://www.trybooking.com/uk/GEGS and paid for in advance of the start date

2. Burton on the Wolds Playing Field Association (PFA) agrees to handle all administration in relation to your booking for Junior coaching including payment of the coach’s fee.

3. Tennis racquets, balls and other equipment will be supplied by the PFA, though children are welcome to bring their own tennis racquets.

4. Tennis shoes or trainers must be worn on the courts by participating children.

5. Parents are requested to remain outside the tennis courts during a coaching session. However, they must remain on the site during their child's lesson or make an arrangement with another adult to be there for their child. 

6. If the half-term block or a single session must be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, the PFA and coach may offer alternative dates. Should the alternative dates not be practicable, then we will offer a refund, pro rata for the cancelled session/ sessions.

7. Under the Consumer Rights Act you have 14 days ‘cooling off’ period from the day of your booking to the first date of coaching, in which you may cancel and receive a full refund.

8. If you cancel giving less than two weeks’ notice, there is no refund unless a replacement booking can be found.

9. If you wish to transfer the booking to another child, there is no fee, but you must email burtonpfa@gmail.com or phone 07887 996293 with this information before the start of the half -term block or an individual session.

10. Each session block will have its own WhatsApp group, set up by the coach to facilitate communication. You will be invited to join this at the first session.

11. It is not necessary for you to be a subscriber to the tennis courts to book junior coaching, however all people booking junior coaching will be given a 15% discount code off an annual household subscription to play tennis in Burton on the Wolds. This code will be in the receipt email and can be used from 28th March 2026.
