KTA Tour de France 1 Year Countdown Ride

🚴♂️ ONE YEAR TO GO UNTIL THE TOUR DE FRANCE ARRIVES IN KESWICK! 🚴♀️To celebrate, the Keswick Tourism Association is hosting a FREE community cycling event on Friday 3rd July 2026, and everyone is invited!
Working alongside Ultimate Cycling Adventures, we've created a ride that follows part of the proposed Tour de France route out of Keswick, with three distance options available so cyclists of all abilities can take part:
🔴 Tour de France Route - 45km
Keswick to Grasmere via Dunmail Raise, returning via Thirlmere and St John's in the Vale to Fitz Park.
🟠 Intermediate Route - 35km
Keswick to the end of Thirlmere Reservoir, returning via the reservoir road and St John's in the Vale to Fitz Park.
🟢 Family & Leisure Route - 17km
Keswick to Legburthwaite and back via St John's in the Vale to Fitz Park.
All routes will follow part of the proposed Tour de France route and will finish in Fitz Park, where the celebrations will continue at Café HNW Keswick with live music, food, drinks and a fantastic atmosphere as we begin the countdown to one of the biggest sporting events ever to come to the Northern Lakes.
🚴 Ride support will be provided by Ultimate Cycling Adventures.
🎟️ Participation is completely free, but registration is required.

All registered riders will receive GPX route files and final event information before the event.
We're also looking for KTA members and volunteers to help marshal and support the event. If you'd like to get involved, please get in touch.
