Introduction to Green Woodworking - Spindle Course

This is a 1-day green woodworking course introducing you to this mindful rural craft.
β Learn about the properties and handling of green wood
β Get familiar with tools, including the draw knife and the pole lathe
β Create a selection of objects before taking them home to show off
This is an ideal way to begin your foray into green woodworking. Richard will clearly explain the properties of green wood, starting with a log and knocking it down with an axe. Next you will begin to shape it on a draw knife, before mounting it on a spindle pole lathe to refine your design using a variety of chisels.
Itβs a great opportunity to gain skills in this mindful rural craft.
