Staying On?
The official Beyond The Banter event concludes following the Saturday guided convoy, community BBQ and closing activities.
Given The Springs 4X4 Park is approximately 2.5 hours from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, many participants may choose to stay overnight rather than drive home after a full day on the tracks.
Members of the Beyond The Banter team also intend to camp onsite as private individuals after the official event has concluded.
Participants are welcome to camp nearby, continue the conversations and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere if they wish. However, any camping, socialising, recreational driving or other activities occurring after the official event are entirely voluntary, are not organised or supervised by Beyond The Banter, and are undertaken under The Springs 4X4 Park's normal booking terms, venue rules and conditions.
Beyond The Banter may assist participants with camping or accommodation bookings purely as a convenience. Any such arrangements are made directly with The Springs 4X4 Park and do not form part of the official Beyond The Banter event.
Beer O'Clock Hill
Beyond The Banter Co-Founder Chris 'Topher' Naylor intends to have a crack at Beer O'Clock Hill during the weekend.
It's not about getting to the top.
It's about having a go.
However:
- Beer O'Clock Hill is not part of the official Beyond The Banter event.
- It is not included in registered participant activities.
- Any attempt is entirely voluntary.
- Participation is undertaken under The Springs 4X4 Park's normal operating conditions and venue rules.
- Beyond The Banter accepts no responsibility for any activity undertaken outside the official event.
What This Is (and Isn't)
This isn't a race.
This isn't a competition.
This isn't a retreat.
It's a practical day of learning, adventure, mateship and better conversations.
Why We're Doing It
Beyond The Banter exists to help blokes connect earlier, speak up sooner and support one another through life's tougher moments.
Sometimes the best conversations happen side by side, not face to face.
