We look forward to you joining us for the Year 8/9 production for 2023 Puffs or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic.
For seven years, a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs… who happened to be there too.
Puffs is a story about growing up – which we have all done at one point or another. It’s a play for anyone who has never been destined to change to the world!
Wayne Hopkins is a regular (not very cool) boy who learns that he is a wizard and is sent to a magic boarding school. He is sorted into the Puffs house, full of students who aren’t brave, smart or ruthless. Wayne makes two best friends, and together they have loads of adventures, but they are not very heroic.
Together the Puffs navigate the challenges of magic school – bullies, spells, the most famous wizard in the world, nearly dying many times over, and defeating evil. Familiar characters are peppered throughout the script, such as a certain potions master, Professor McG, Mr Voldy, and a popular kid called Harry.
A funny, fast-paced romp through adolescence with a wizard filter. It’s like a tiny golden ball with wings.
