About

The Waltzing Matilda Musical comes to Celtic at The Metropolitan! Set in Western Qld during the Shearers Strike of 1894, the play tells of forbidden romance, intrigue and the secrets behind the writing of our our national song. Young lawyer and bush balladist, Banjo Paterson, finds himself in a love triangle and caught between two powerful women, his fiance, Sarah Riley, and songwriter Christine Macpherson. Not to mention Christina's brother, the Squatter.
