Set during World War I, high in the mountains of Moravia, a cynical old man, a Ukrainian socialite, a sad young girl, a cheerful fool, and a mysterious talking cat arrive in the village of Příbor seeking shelter for the night. But this is a time of war, and the villagers are suspicious of outsiders, particularly the authoritarian Lieutenant stationed there. “Cutlery” is a comic tragedy exploration of what happens when authority is unchecked and hate festers in positions of power.
