Both the Preview and Opening are capped at the maximum number of attendees permitted in the space safely as per the NSW Government restrictions.  

 

Opening Night

COMPASS - Generations of Walcha Artists

Walcha, in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, is renowned for its public art and the number of artists who call it home. This exhibition features established senior artists of the region and the new generation coming into their own with works spanning painting, printmaking and sculpture. Featuring works by Kate Durack, Julia Griffin, Myfanwy Gullifer, Paula Jenkins, Gemma King, Stephen King, Ross Laurie, Angus Nivison, James Rogers, Ben Tooth and Rosie Waugh.

Summer School

A collaboration with the University of New England exploring the history of artists undertaking residencies at UNE to teach its renowned Summer School program in subjects such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, creative embroidery, weaving and ceramics. Featuring work by Irene Amos, Suzanne Archer, George Baldessin, Sydney Ball, Estelle Cotsell, David Fairbairn, John Firth-Smith, John Olsen, Stanislaus Rapotec, Andrew Sibley and more. 

Exhibition produced in partnership with the University of New England.

Kurt Sorensen - Things must have an end

A photographic investigation into the sites of enigmatic crimes, mysteries and disappearances in New England evocatively imagined by New South Wales artist Kurt Sorensen. In June 2020, Sorensen undertook an artist residency in the Packsaddle studio to research and develop new work for the exhibition.

The New England Landscape

The New England landscape is renowned for its beauty. In this group exhibition, 15 local artists have created new works which express their diverse experiences and interpretations of the landscape that inspires them. 

Playdate!

Featuring works from the NERAM collections, Playdate! is one for the kids. Come along and engage with the artworks in a different and active ways. Recreate artworks, play with props and follow the question trail.

 

Exhibitions will be open 20 November 2020 to 31 January 2021

 

All attendees must please abide by NERAM COVID-19 guidelines, this includes:

•  Booking beforehand and signing in upon entry.
•  Physical distancing of 1.5m between other guests.
•  Using hand sanisiter and handwashing facilities upon entry and as needed.
•  Do NOT enter NERAM if you are feeling unwell, showing any symptoms of COVID-19 including cough and fever - even a simple cold or flu. 
•  Follow all directions given by NERAM staff.
