RAMEAU CONCERTOS - Accademia Arcadia
About
Rameau to captivate and transcend. In 1741 Rameau published five chamber works for harpsichord, violin and viola da gamba. To each work he gave the title ‘concert’, the French equivalent of the Italian ‘concerto’. Enchanting the ear with endless variety and novelty, the works are harpsichord concertos whose orchestral component has been reduced to an absolute minimum of one treble instrument and one bass instrument.
