National Boys Choir

The NBCA is made up of boys who love to sing...... The National Boys Choir or Australia was founded in 1964 and has establish itself as one of Australia's finest treble choirs. The NBCA is made up of approx. 200 boys aged between 7 and 15 years. Choristers start with a 2 yr training period before graduating to the Performing Choir of which 34 members will be touring regional centres in FNQld in September 2023.For almost 60 years, the NBCA has been inspiring boys in their love of singing by providing excellent vocal and musical training, and outstanding performance opportunities both in Australia and overseas. Choristers are trained in the traditional "bef canto" style. Repertoire includes music ranging from early motets through to contemporary commissioned works and fully-staged children's operas, musical comedy, art songs and folk songs from around the world.
