Holocaust Survivor Psychiatrists in the 1960s
About the event:
Throughout the 1960s, a group of psychiatrists, themselves survivors of the Holocaust, embarked on a noble mission to aid their peers in navigating the complexities of grief and trauma, and help find pathways towards healing and resilience. In this learning session, Dr. Daniel Heller will explore the profound journey of these compassionate individuals who, in grappling with their own haunted pasts, as well as that of their peers, laid the foundations for better understanding diagnosis and treatment of PTSD.
