Menopause matters: what you need to know
About
With more than half of the world’s population destined to go through menopause, this isn’t a session only for women; it’s a must for anyone interested in supporting women to break down the stigma too long attached to this stage of life, and prompt important conversations.Presented by Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group Endocrinologist, Dr Ashley Makepeace has an interest in women’s health and is also the WA representative and Honorary Treasurer on the Australasian Menopause Society Board.
The lecture will cover what peri-menopause and menopause are, the signs and symptoms, the options available, and sources of reliable information including where to get help.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session at the end of the lecture.
