About
Equity in Action: Elevating Responsiveness and Inclusion in Family TherapyThis PD session on equity, diversity, and inclusion will provide opportunities for reflection and practical skill-building through small group discussions and experiential activities. Participants will engage in location of the self exercises, fostering awareness of how their identities, biases, and lived experiences shape their therapeutic work. Interactive breakout sessions will encourage collaborative learning, where attendees can share strategies, challenges, and resources to enhance culturally responsive practice.
Patrick Carroll is a social worker and family therapist. He has over 20 years’ experience working in mental health roles in homelessness and child protection related services. He has also coordinated multidisciplinary teams and provided training and clinical supervision.
