Monday July 7th 1.00pm-4.00pm Watercolour Fun with Words with Pam Bailey $25/$35, 18+, Beginners 

Discover the subtle beauty of watercolours in this fun art workshop. Create a beautiful quote to grace the walls of your home or office, that will inspire you every day.

Ideal for absolute beginners, you'll be surprised at what you achieve in this workshop. Friendly expert Pam Bailey from Her Creative Inspiration will guide you through the steps to help you easily create an inspiring piece of art you can be proud of.

You will have a choice of two quotes to paint. Your quote will be pre-traced, ready for you to focus on the fun part - painting and adding the details. Everything you need will be provided including paints, brushes, pens and archival inks.

Enjoy some time to relax away from the hustle and bustle of life, make some new friends and discover your hidden artistic talents at this watercolour painting workshop.

Tuesday July 8th 10.00am-12.30pm Experimental Drawing No. 2 with Helen Lock $25/$35, All ages (Under 10 yrs  must be accompanied by a responsible adult), Beginners/Intermediate 

Come and have some drawing fun with Helen Lock!  Helen will guide you through this Workshop with fun activities designed to develop creativity, art skills and boost well-being in a social, supportive environment. You will play a name game & a cirle game, roll-an-artwork, draw a hole and more! Curious? Come along and enjoy it.

Wednesday July 9th 9.30am-4.00pm Impressionist Landscapes Acrylics or Oils,  with Robyn Lowry,  $75/$85  18+  All Levels 

This workshop covers five ways to produce a vibrant, alive, impressionist landscape painting showing brush, knife, loose, thick strokes.

Have fun leaving realism behind and explore the techniques to add energy to your paintings.

What to Bring:

• Acrylic or oil professional paints.
• Colours suggested :- Cadmium yellow deep, Cadmium yellow light, Cobalt blue hue, Cerulean blue hue, Cadmium red light, Cadmium red medium and Titanium white.
• Brushes – A round and flat brush (size 6 (no bigger than an 8) , pallet knife for mixing and a small pallet knife for painting.
• Canvas A3 pad or prepared painting paper.  No smaller than A3. At least 4 sheets required. If separate sheets please bring something for them to lean on.
• Old towel, apron, wet wipes, spray bottle of water for acrylics and odourless solvent (AS) for oils.
• A flat pallet for mixing colours ( a couple if possible or if you can clean off one pallet for the next painting).
• Your lunch or the café will be open.

This is a fun and very informative workshop. Suitable for all levels.

Thursday July 10th 9.30am-11.30am Painting Without Brushes with Susan Sharp $30/$40, 18+ Beginners/Intermediate

Palette knives are a great way to create bold textures and dynamic, expressive effects with thick layers of paint. During the session you will learn to apply paint using some different techniques such as scumbling, impasto and gradients to create a textural landscape with acrylic paint.Come along and enjoy scraping, dabbing and layering paint to complete a unique piece of work. All materials provided. Suitable for beginners and intermediate levels. 

Friday July 11th 9.30am-3.00pm Needle Felting: Daisy and Gumnut Flowers with Audra Guy, $60/$70, 18+ Beginners      SOLD OUT

Join needle felting expert Audra for a relaxing and creative day of needle felting. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of needle felting while making two beautiful flowers—a simple daisy and an iconic gumnut blossom. Perfect for beginners, all materials are provided, and you’ll leave with two handcrafted pieces and the skills to keep felting at home!

Saturday July 12th 10.00am-3.00pm Sew Your Own Zipped Tote Bag with Margaret Richardson, $75/$85, 18+ Beginners plus  SOLD OUT

In this Workshop  with brilliant seamtress Margaret Richardson, you will be expertly guided through the steps to make your own Zipped Tote Bag.

Margaret will provide you with a complete pre-cut kit containing everything you need to construct the bag, including a pattern you can re-use.

You will need to bring the following with you:

• your own well functioning sewing machine
• zipper foot
• size 100 sewing machine needles
• marking pen for fabric
• scissors
• tape measure
• pins
• unpicker
• ruler

This Workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some sewing experience. Margaret loves to teach and pass on her skills acquired over a lifetime of sewing.

Saturday July 12th 10.00am-3.00pm Multi Layered Linocut Printmaking Fun with Andrea Schell, $75/$85, 18+ Beginners/Intermediate

Create your own colourful multi-layered linocuts in a day under the guidance of wonderful teacher Andrea Schell! Learn how to design, carve, and register multiple blocks of lino to build a vibrant layered image, and end the day with your own small edition of prints. All materials provided. 

Sunday July 13th 9.30am-3.00pm Needle Felting: Christmas in July with Audra Guy, $70/$80, 18+ Beginners

Get into the festive spirit early with a cozy Christmas in July Workshop. You'll create a charming star garland and a festive Christmas bauble using needle felting techniques—perfect for decorating or gifting. This beginner-friendly workshop includes all materials, expert guidance, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere to spark your creativity.

Monday July 14th,  3.30pm-5.00pm Vocal Artistry, Come and Sing for 10-16 yrs with Patricia Alessi, $15/$25, All Levels

Does someone you know aged 10-16yrs  love to sing? Book them in to come and join voice coach and singing expert Patricia Alessi for a great session of singing together. Patricia will warm up their vocal chords first and then teach the group a popular song that they will then peform together at the end of the session. 

Monday July 14th, 6.00pm-7.30pm, Come and Sing for Adults, 18+ yrs with Patricia Alessi, $15/$25, All Levels

Saturday July 19th 9.30-1.30pm Leadlighting for Beginners with Eileen Macpherson, $150/$160 18+ SOLD OUT

Do you love Stained Glass? Always wanted to try Leadlighting? Perhaps you have tried it before and would like ot try it again? In this class with expert glass artist Eileen Macpherson you will learn to cut glass and make a Sun Catcher to take home. You will have a choice of 4 patterns to choose from. All materials supplied. You do not need to bring anything, but if you have your own tools or glass you are welcome to bring them along.

Our Winter School Workshops are taking place from Monday 7th July to Saturday 19th July. All the Workshops are taking place at Murray Arts and Crafts in Pinjarra. Please be very careful to select the correct Workshop you wish to book and read the materials list carefully so you know what to bring. Upon booking, you will receive an email re-confirming everything and lots of general information too.

Murray Arts and Crafts, 1 George Street, Pinjarra WA 6209 We are located within the Edenvale Heritage Precinct in Pinjarra. Lots of free parking available. Best entrance for parking and access is the 5 Murray Street entrance, near the Roger May Machinery Museum.
