Audience members must be over 16 years of age, or accompanied by an emotionally mature, supportive adult.We are a group of local women, raising money and awareness under the banner of One Billion Rising, a global movement addressing gender based violence. Our main fundraiser is the play, The Vagina Monologues. In keeping with the grassroots focus of One Billion Rising, all net profits from this fundraiser will go to local organisations who support victim/survivors of gender based violence, namely TSAS (Tablelands Sexual Assault Service).
This movement is not only about fundraising, it is about awareness raising, activism, and changing hearts, minds, systems and behaviours, until the violence stops.
We thank MTC for their auspice and generous in-kind support to create and perform this show. We especially thank every single volunteer stretching above and beyond to make this happen.
