In 2026 Colonel Light Gardens is celebrating its 100th anniversary so to commemorate this amazing milestone Peter Tilbrook a past student of CLG Primary School 1953 - 1960, former DRUM & FIFE SCHOOL BAND Leader and a former member of iconic 60's Adelaide band THE MASTERS APPRENTICES is organising a CENTENARY SCHOOL CABARET at The CLG COMMUNITY RSL HALL. Joining Peter on stage will be JOHN BYWATERS from top Australian band THE TWILIGHTS and iconic Adelaide TV Presenter, historian KEITH CONLON. Keith is also a past student, member of the SCHOOL DRUM & FIFE BAND and a former CLG resident. Together the three of them will present the music of our childhood and teenage years with the very best of the 50's & 60's MUSIC.
The RSL HALL has a great floor for dancing so it will be a wonderful and memorable evening. Table Seating is limited so you will need to BOOK EARLY. The RSL has a fully stocked Bar. This is a BYO SUPPER PLATE but NO BYO DRINKS. There will be a DOOR PRIZE and BASKET RAFFLE on the night.
Space permitting, there will be some MEMORBILLIA ON DISPLAY. If you know of any past CLG residents or past SCHOOL STUDENTS, please let them know about this as I am sure they will not want to miss this.
The CLG Primary School also has other wonderful events on like a CENTENARY EXHIBITION on Thursday 17th Sept, a SCHOOL OPEN DAY on Friday 18th Sept and a CENTENARY FETE on Saturday 19th. For further information about these events contact the school on (08) 8276 1523.
