Not Now, Darling
NOT NOW, DARLING, by Ray Cooney and John Chapman
It's set in London, in the 1970s in the exclusive fur salon of Bodley, Bodley & Crouch.
Gilbert Bodley, serial womanizer and charming ladies' man is planning his next conquest, the seduction of his would-be mistress, Janie McMichael, a stripper from the Lido.
His devious plan involves selling an expensive mink coat at a bargain-basement price to Harry, her unsuspecting husband, with Gilbert topping up the full amount from his personal account.
Business partner Arnold Crouch is "persuaded" to conduct the sale. Nothing goes according to plan, of course.
Maude Bodley unexpectedly returns from her South of France holiday, Harry buys the mink for his "Secretary", with this fast-moving and hilarious farce now involving mistaken identities, sets of ladies' underwear, an ocelot coat and a parrot.
For 5 shows only - 2pm matinees on 20th, 21st, 27th & 28th June, and one evening show at 8pm on Friday 26th June.
