The Melbourne Scottish Fiddle Club returns to the Melbourne Tartan Festival with an uplifting celebration of Scottish music, community and culture.With members of all abilities, ages ranging from 8 to 80-something, and all stages of playing, the Club is a welcoming and dynamic community music group. You can expect 30–40 performers sharing the infectious energy and rich musical traditions that have taken them to festivals including the National Folk Festival, National Celtic Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival and, of course, the Melbourne Tartan Festival.
Join us for a fun Saturday afternoon concert celebrating Scotland's musical heritage, and enjoy original tunes written by Club members alongside beloved traditional Scottish melodies. The concert will be followed by the Club's famous afternoon tea.
This special Melbourne Tartan Festival performance will take place at Habitat Uniting Church in Canterbury. We look forward to sharing music, friendship and community with audiences old and new.
