The Sydney Adrenal Crisis and Injection Training session will be held on Saturday 31st October, from 2:30 to 4:30pm, at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel, 61-101 Phillip Street, Sydney. It is free, with tea and coffee provided.Thanks to Pfizer and the Endocrine Society of Australia for sponsoring this event.
Organised by the Australian Addison's Disease Association, it is open to anyone who needs to know how to give the emergency hydrocortisone injection, including family members, friends, support staff and carers.
An adrenal crisis doesn't wait. It can happen quickly and the difference between a confident injection and a hesitant one can be critical.
This session gives you real, hands on practice, not just a leaflet to read and hope you remember later.
In a sudden crisis where warning signs are missed, you might miss the window to be able to inject yourself. That's why partners, parents, friends, teachers, siblings, children, coaches and colleagues need this training too.
Know where your kits are. Have more than one. Know how to use it. Know you can act without hesitating.
No question is too basic. Come along, get hands on, make friends and leave knowing exactly what to do when it matters most.
