Farmers Digging Deeper - soil carbon & pH from 119 farms

This workshop details soil carbon and soil pH results from the 119 farmers participating in the Farmers Digging deeper Project in Gippsland. Presenters include: 1. Chris Alenson - a renowned ag scientist who has been an amazing contributor to sustainable agriculture for many decades. Chris will be talking about soil pH and calcium, and highlight key findings from the 119 farms participating in this program. 2. Peter Ronalds took over 550 soil carbon samples from 119 farms as part of this project. He will talk about the soil carbon results, and what the key learnings were.

Chris Alenson is an agricultural consultant with qualifications in sustainable agriculture (majoring in soils) with over 30 years of practical experience. Both presenters will focus on the links between our farm management practices and the nutrition of the food we produce, which ultimately impacts on our physical and mental health.
