This professional Development seminar will focus on the Piano Music of Kodaly. The first part will deal with differences and similarities with Bela Bartok, using as reference Kodaly’s “Seven Pieces” Op.11 & Bartoks” Improvisations on Hungarian Peasant Songs” Op.20 (both written around the same time)
The second part will concentrate on Kodaly using his “Meditation sur un motif de Claude Debussy” plus the “Marosszeki Tancok”.
